The Popcorn Story
The Trail's End fund-raising program is exclusive to Scouting, and it provides all that a Scout council and its packs, troops, teams, crews, and posts may need, from planning and budgeting guidelines to training programs for Scouts and leaders, to the highest quality products available.
In 1992, the executive board of the Northeast Georgia Council approved the sale of Trail’s End Popcorn as a council approved fundraiser. That year, the total sales of popcorn products were $72,603. Over the next 18 years, the Scouts of the Northeast Georgia Council have sold over $19,500,000 in popcorn products. Over $6,825,000 in commission has been earned by the Scout units in our council since 1992.
Our council continues to experience growing financial needs associated with maintaining high quality Scouting programs. We have a great sales program with Trail’s End that is easy and practically effortless. Together, with your help we can make it a success! Participate and it will strengthen Scouting everywhere! Winners of Weekly Drawings Week 1 Winner
Nikolas J. is a Bear Cub Scout in Pack 68 in the Currahee District. He is the winner in the first week drawing in the Popcorn Fill It Up Contest of the 2011 Popcorn Sale. Nikolas has chosen the Xbox 360 with Kinect as his prize Nikolas’s name was drawn from 76 entries in the first week of the contest. Six more weekly prizes will be given away by the Northeast Georgia Council during the Fall Popcorn Sale.

Jack B., from Troop 597 in the Apalachee District is the winner of the fourth week of the Fill It Up Contest. Jack chose the iPod Touch 8 gb as his prize.

Nicholas is a Webelos Scout in Pack 107 in the Etowah District. He faxed in four filled up take order forms (totaling $2518) in week 6 of the Fill It Up Contest and is the Winner. Nicholas is shown with his 3DS Nintendo that he won for his efforts in selling popcorn. Way to go Nicholas!
Week 7 Winner
Nathan filled up one Take Order form totaling $607 in sales. His was one of 52 entries for Week 7 of the Fill It Up Contest of the Council Popcorn Sale. Nathan’s prize for being chosen as the week 7 Winner is a Nintendo 3DS. Congratulations Nathan!
Grand Prize Winner
Garrett is a Webelos Scout in Pack 593 and will soon be graduating into Troop 593 in the Apalachee District. Garrett is shown with the Grand Prize – an IPad2. Garrett filled up two take order forms during the sale totaling $1423 in sales. 337 Filled Up Take Order Forms totaling $205,794 in sales, were received during the seven weeks of the sale. Congratulations to all of our 7 weekly winners and CONGRAULATIONS Garrett!!
