Training Curriculum for Adult Leaders

This is Scouting

This is a 90 minute introductory class for all adult leaders in all programs. The course is often offered as a breakout session at District Roundtables. Consult with your District Training Chairman to find the dates and times of the next session. The course content is an overview of the entire program from Cubs to Venturing. It examines the Mission, Aims, and Methods of each level of Scouting.

Youth Protection Training

This is available on-line through National’s Learning Center or access it from our learning center page. This on-line presentation has audio available, and takes about an hour to complete. If you have a slow dial-up connection you may consider finding a high speed line to access it. At the end there will be a multiple choice test. Completion of the test successfully will then allow you to print out your card, receive a letter from Trip Selman, and also send record of your course completion to the Council training coordinator. You still may check out the video from the office or attend a live presentation when they are scheduled.
