Outdoor ethics is deeply ingrained in the BSA program. The Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturing, and Sea Scout programs all include outdoor stewardship, care for the environment, and Leave No Trace as part of their programs.

If you are prepared to venture down the path of really becoming aware of your surroundings, of building the skills that will allow you to leave no trace on the land, then the Outdoor Ethics Awareness and Action Awards are for you. The Outdoor Ethics Action Awards can be earned by both youth and adult. Find out more about these awards at Outdoor Ethics Awards.

A requirement for the Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturer, and Adult Outdoor Ethics Awards is to complete the BSA Outdoor Ethics Orientation Course.  Your last opportunity to take this course in 2013 will be at Scoutland on December 21, 2013, 9:00am – 12:00pm. There is no charge for the course.
