We’re pleased to announce that this year we will be offering both Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific and I.O.L.S. Training at Camp Rainey Mountain summer camp. These class is also open to scouters who are not attending camp as well.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (I.O.L.S) – Monday & Tuesday, 9 am to 5 pm each day – No overnight on Monday!

Adults wishing to participate in this training will need to register for this course when your troop registers your boys for summer camp.  IOLS will be one of the classes.  There will be a maximum limit of 12 participants per week.  $10 per participant.

This hands-on program gives adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Imagine having hands-on knowledge of setting up a campsite, pitching a tent, hiking, outdoor cooking—all the skills necessary to see the outdoor program of the Boy Scouts of America come to life.  The course will be offered each Monday and Tuesday at each of the weeks camp is open.  So if you’re a new leader coming to camp with your troop, this is a great way to start your training.
