Notes on the 1 April 07 site redesign.
It’s hard to find things. It’s not up to date. I hate those creepy arms.
Those are some of the things I’ve heard more than once about this site. And everyone
who said it was correct. That was the main reason behind this latest redesign effort. The
goals were to make things easier to find, make it easier to navigate from page to page and
to make it easier & quicker to do updates. Generally to make the site more usable to more people.
So now there’s a little more javascript, some Ajax type functions, cleaner HTML and CSS and a couple of
new cgi programs.
Font sizes are now relative, instead of fixed as they had been, so you can use your browser’s
"View, Text Size, Larger" function (Ctrl+ for you Firefox users) to make things easier to see if you need.
But let me warn you some things don’t look good at the larger sizes. But hey, at least you’ll be
able to read the text in the main body of the page if you’ve misplaced your glasses.
The Quick Jump will let you move from page to page with a click if you don’t want to
use the menu. And if you still haven’t found what you’re looking for try the Search.
A special note on that. If you do a search and don’t find anything even though you know there’s a page
on the site or if you later find a page that you think should have been found by Search, please send an email to
and let me know what you entered in the search box. You’ll help improve the site and reduce global warming.
If your browser is having trouble with this site first try doing a Refresh, the page could be partially cached
by your browser. If that doesn’t clear things up make sure you have an up to date browser and javascript enabled.

If you prefer a different browser you probably already know how to get your own updates so DO IT. DO IT NOW!
If all else fails you could drop a note to the webmaster, be sure to include details and don’t get your
hopes up.

are working on getting the information in and it should be complete Real Soon™.
The Change Log, if you don’t normally check it it’s your one stop to see what has been
added or updated lately.
The Quick Jump and Search will get you where you think you want to go and, of course, the Site Map
lists everything except some forms (and none of the flyers).
Finaly, the Contact Us link at the top right of every page provides a form you can use to send us your thoughts,
concerns, praise, questions or just general ol’ feedback.
